One Injured After Plane Skids Off Runway Of CT Airport

One person was injured after a plane he was flying skidded off a runway at a Connecticut airport.

In Hartford County, first responders were called to the Robertson Field Airport in Plainville shortly after 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, March 10, when the pilot of a small plane skittered off the runway, flipped and landed on its wings.

The pilot - the only occupant of the plane at the time of the crash - suffered minor injuries. He was transported to an area hospital for treatment.

Police said that the FAA is on its way to the crash scene to investigate.

More information is expected to be released by investigators.
